Farm Reggae

Farm Reggae offers an alternative to the children’s song Old MacDonald Had a Farm and may be more appropriate for young people with disabilities beyond the early years, as it makes use of a contemporary popular style – ‘reggae’ – that is free from childish connotations. ‘Reggae’ originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s, and is charaterised by an offbeat rhythm section. Its most famous exponent was Bob Marley and his band The Wailers, with hits such as Three Little Birds.
